- On the back of the a7 series camera is a tilt screen that serves several purposes as you shoot stills or video. Now, one of the key advantages is that the screen can be angled. This makes it a lot easier for different types of shooting situations. You notice I could tilt it up, if I'm looking from above, if the camera was slung low. Or even pull that out a little bit, so it's not obstructed by the eyepiece here. Or flip it the other way, if you're shooting from overhead. Making it a lot easier to see the shot. Unlike a DSLR's optical viewfinder and separate display screen, the a7 series LCD and electronic viewfinder are both similar to a computer monitor. Now, when you first turn these on, you'll notice that information shows up on the display. A status display, that essentially tells you a little bit what's happening. It overlays on top of the live view image. Pressing the Display button at the top of the control wheel will change what information is displayed with the overlays…
