Taking some shots in Auto mode

- Now that the camera is turned on and a lens is attached and there's a memory card inside, we're ready to try it out. On top of your camera is a dial, and the benefits of this dial is it makes it easy to choose the shooting mode. The shooting mode determines what decisions the camera makes and which ones are up to you. Now, you could adjust these settings depending upon the shooting situation and what you're trying to capture. For example, maybe you want fine control over how much of your scene is in focus from front to back. Well, that's called the depth of field, and the Aperture Priority mode works very well for this. Other times, you might want to freeze the action of a fast-moving subject. Well, in that case, Shutter Priority mode is great, and other times you're just looking to the camera to make most of the decisions for you.
