Silent shooting

- Earlier, you heard the shutter speed firing and that's okay. It makes a bit of noise, but you do have the option on some of the a7 cameras to make the camera quieter. This is typically referred to as Silent Shooting mode. Just keep in mind it's not totally silent. Now, it's possible to eliminate that mechanical clicking sound and replace it by using an electronic shutter. Now, it's important to remember that you need to respect people's privacy. So, if you're using the silent shutter to shoot stealthy, make sure that your subject agrees to it, but this can lead to a less distracting shooting situation. For example, maybe you want to minimize the intrusiveness of your photography. Perhaps you're shooting in a church and you don't want to hear that loud clicking sound. Silent Shooting is only going to be available if you're shooting in Program mode, Aperture Priority mode, Shutter Priority mode, or Manual. Here's how to activate it.
