Tethering your camera with a computer

- Alright, welcome to Tethering, where you actually connect a camera to a computer for complete control. Now, applications like Lightroom provide basic controls, but Sony has actually released its own controls to let you take complete precise control of just about every feature that the Sony a7 Series offers. Now, this is pretty easy to run, it is available for both Mac and PC. I find that the PC software is a little more robust, so that's the one I'm going to show you, but you can pull these by following either of these two links. Alright, it's pretty simple. On your camera, push the Menu button. Navigate to the Setup tab, and locate USB Connection. I recommend that you switch from Auto to PC Remote, as in computer remote control. Now it's pretty simple. Just take the USB cable, it's a standard USB cable that you can pickup, and your camera also included one, and take it into a USB port on your computer.
