- Panoramic photography can be a really great way…to capture a massive super wide, super high-resolution…image of the world around you.…Now, a panoramic image is usually extremely wide,…and this doesn't mean you take a single, regular photo…and then cut the top and the bottom off of it.…That would give you something that was quite low-resolution.…No, a panoramic is where you take multiple photos,…panning the camera over a large, expansive space,…and then stitch them together.…You can do the stitching together…in software like Photoshop,…but a lot of cameras today…will actually do the stitching in-camera for you.…
This makes it really easy to create cool panoramics.…For example, in this camera here, the Lumix GX8,…you'll notice at the top…that there is a dedicated panoramic mode.…I simply slide it into there,…and the camera actually tells me what direction…to pan the camera in, but I can change that as well.…So if I go into the Menu settings, and then I scroll down…to the page that has the panoramics on it,…there's my Panorama Settings,…
