Nothing but water

- So, I was out photographing a little earlier here at the Pemaquid Point lighthouse and got some good shots. I was very happy with my photo of the lighthouse and I also photographed the waves crashing into the rocks with some long exposures. I was getting cold and wet, having a good time, but definitely getting cold and wet. Fortunately, right next door is a nice little cafe and I was able to get a hot cup of coffee and some food. And I thought I was finished for the day, ready to warm up and call it good, but as I was looking out the window at the water I thought, "You know, I didn't take any shots of just the water." I got so caught up thinking about the key subject and in this case, at this specific location, there's sort of two key subjects. The lighthouse, as well as the rugged coastline. So, when I was photographing the rugged coastline, of course I'm thinking about how I'm going to structure the rocks, how I'm going to compose my shot with the rocks versus the water. But, I…
