Exposure bracketing
- Exposure bracketing is a useful feature that allows you to shoot the same scene with different exposure settings. Now, this can be quite useful if the lighting is tricky, and it allows you to actually improve the chances of getting a correctly exposed shot. Some people will use this just to get options in the camera, but you can also use bracketing to create things like High-Dynamic Range photos, or HDR. To learn more about HDR, make sure you check out both Photomatix Pro and Creating Lightroom HDR files. Now the Sony a7 offers some great auto-exposure bracketing controls. This will tell the camera to automatically alter the exposure settings between each shot, taking in continuous burst mode. This will allow you to end up with several different exposures without having to make any adjustments between shots.
