Every now and then, you might run in to an experience similar to what I faced with this lighthouse here. I'm on Monhegan Island in Maine, and coming up the hill approaching this really interesting lighthouse, I suddenly sensed there was going to be a problem, in terms of of trying to get the photo that I was after. You can see there are powerlines cutting across the background here, there's an antenna in the background. Not the easiest subject to photograph when we have all these distractions. But then, I went around the other side of the building, and there things got very interesting. There's a small boat set against the building. There's a very clear vantage point. There's even a little planter area with some flowers. And so there are a variety of opportunities to photograph, if I can find just the right angle.
