Getting the up-close headshot with a telephoto lens

All right. Well here, we're going to continue to capture some portraits of Valyn. This time, we'll be using a more traditional portraiture focal length and that's telephoto. The lens that I'm working with is the 85 millimeter lens. I love using this lens. And what I want to do is look at how we can vary our camera angle in height and compare and contrast the results. I also want you to keep in mind that when your using telephoto, what can happen is that people can bit get a little bit lazy, because this lens can be forgiving. Yet you still really need to pay attention to the subtle nuance. So in this case, I'm going to create a three quarter shot, and I'll start off with one which is about eye level. Here with an eye level shot with this particular lens, we'll find that that looks pretty good. Let me capture a couple of photographs here in case she blinked. And that looks great, just be you, perfect. Next I'm going to drop my camera down, a little bit lower than eye level here…
