- Let's get ready to shoot. To do this, we need to attach a few things to the camera. Now, one of the greatest advantages of shooting on a Sony a7 series camera is the ability to switch lenses, like you see here. Now, what's great about this is it offers a lot of flexibility for different shooting situations. This means that you can match the right lens to the job and it gives you the ability to mix in both primes and zoom lenses. Now, attaching a lens is a pretty straightforward thing. First off, make sure the camera is powered down before you add or remove a lens. In this case, I've flipped the camera to off and the battery is still out. The reason why we do this is if the camera is powered, it tends to be an electric static charged sensor and that's going to pull in a lot of dust. And that could really cause problems with your camera sensor. Now, carefully remove the lens cap.
