Focusing manually

- While I usually use auto-focus, I sometimes find myself shooting manually. Perhaps it's because I'm shooting video and I'm dealing with a moving subject, or auto-focus just isn't giving me the control that I need. Well, fortunately your camera can manually focus, and there are a few things that can make this easier. To use manual focus, you'll need to put the camera into a manual focus mode. Now, there are a couple of ways of doing this. If you're using a lens with a manual focus switch, you can flip that to manual, or perhaps it has a focus ring that you pull out and that'll switch it over. Otherwise, you just access this from the menu, like this. I'll press the Function button, and go over here to the Focus Mode, and just switch to Manual Focus. Now, you can simply turn the focus ring to manually focus, and you just rotate that until the subject comes into focus. That's pretty good. Let's move that a little further away.
