Aperture-Priority Auto mode
- Aperture Priority Mode is most useful if you want precise control over aperture. Remember, the aperture is the size of the opening on the front of the camera, and this affects how much light comes into the camera, as well as the depth of field. This is quite useful because you can choose the aperture to control the depth of field, changing the way the photo looks. And the camera will automatically select the right shutter speed for the proper exposure. Now, I most typically shoot in Aperture Priority Mode when I'm shooting my own photos because this gives me the precise control that I want. I dial an aperture to set the settings that I need for depth of field, and then I let the camera do the rest. I find this quite useful because it allows me, when shooting portraits, to do things like set the blur for the background. Aperture Priority Mode can also be useful for things like landscapes where you want a lot of depth of field, and you don't want things changing. With aperture…
