- Softboxes are fantastic in the studio. You have a self-contained box where a light goes in one end and the other end has a big piece of diffusion material and your light gets nice and soft. Now these softboxes come in all different shapes and sizes. You can get itty bitty, little ones, really big, huge ones. They can be square, rectangular, hexagonal, all different shapes and sizes, and they're pretty cool, but if you wanted to make a softbox for something really big, let's say for a large group of people or even something like a car, going out and buying one might not only be extremely expensive, it might not even be possible. Softboxes only are premade up to a certain size, so you may have to DIY it regardless, so that's what this video is all about. We're gonna show you how to make a softbox of virtually any size that you want.
