Remote controlling your camera
- The ability to remotely control your camera can be quite useful. Maybe you want to get in the shot, or maybe you need to put the camera in a place that's hard to access. Well, there are a lot of ways to remotely control. We can use a laptop for things like tethered shooting and have very precise control over the device. We can use our smartphone with the PlayMemories mobile app. Or you can get a dedicated remote control. Let's start with that remote control. I'm just using one from a third party manufacturer. This one's from Foto & Tech, but there are many different ones out there. And all you need to do is make sure that your camera is ready to receive it. Go into the menu, go to the setup screen, and go to remote control. It's a simple on-off switch. I'll leave that on. The remote has two buttons. The first one's pretty simple.
