Changing image quality and size

- Your camera can record images at different quality and size settings. These settings will determine how much space each photo takes up on the memory card, as well as what type of edits and outputs can be made later. Most of the time, I choose to shoot at maximum quality. But perhaps you're running low on memory card space, and you need to save some room. Your camera has two different types of files it can record. A RAW file stores the raw data from the image sensor. This type of file is much larger but offers a significant benefit during the editing stage. For example, if you're using a program like Lightroom or Photoshop or even Apple Photos. This is just going to give you more information to work with. And things like the white balance and contrast can be easily adjusted after shooting. Now, if you want a smaller file that's easier to share or email directly to the client, the JPEG format is quite popular. These files are much smaller, but they are more difficult to edit. The Sony…
