Choosing the right memory card for recording video
- Choosing the right memory card for recording video can be a bit daunting. But essentially, you need to realize that capturing video is more demanding than capturing still photos in most cases. In order to capture a high-quality video, you need a high-performance memory card. You also likely need a higher-capacity card. So, if you skimp on the card, it can actually cause problems. You'll find yourself running out of space too quickly. You might also notice that the video tends to stutter or even fail to capture, and the card stops recording. If your video is going to be captured on your device, you need a fast memory card, particularly at some of those higher frame rates. Capturing 120 frames per second is a lot of images to capture. Sure, the frames get stored in the camera's buffer, but it's very easy to throw that up.
