Adding cold shoe support to a handheld tripod

- We all know that our smart phones are great at shooting video. But, sometimes, you need a little extra assistance, for example, a way to hold on to the camera a little bit better, or even to mount it on to a tripod. Well, that's what this device is for, it's a commercial device called the shoulderpod and, as you can see, it holds on to the iPhone or any smart phone for me. Gives me a little handle and a wrist-wrap and this is great. I can also take this part off of the shoulderpod and attach this to a tripod, so now I have a good, stable mount, for shooting my video. Now, this is great. However, it's missing something. You see, good video isn't just good picture, it's good audio as well. So, to make this really good audio I need to add a microphone. Well, this is the Rode VideoMic Pro and it is a great microphone to add on to your iPhone. You need a little adapter plug and we'll talk about that later, but, for now, what I want to do is figure out how to attach this to this. And…
