Join Andy Needham for an in-depth discussion in this video Understanding the needs of 3D camera tracking, part of Creating a Show Open in After Effects and Cinema 4D.
…Now that we've got our footage into After Effects, we are…going to talk about what we're going to be doing in this chapter.…So let's just play through the shots.…So, we want to end up with some 3D text composited into this…shot, and to do that, we need to track the camera's motion.…So, we're going to use the Foundry's CameraTracker plugin.…So, just a word on camera tracking in…general, it's definitely a difficult skill to master.…
There isn't any one group of settings or magic number that…you could put into per, to, to solve every single shot.…So we need to experiment.…I've definitely tracked this shot different ways and got different results.…We're, really going to be looking into ways we can…get a result out of the CameraTracker, so that…we can create that 3D text in Cinema 4D,…and end up with a really nice finished result.…So as I said, there's different ways of approaching a shot.…If we scrub back through.…
We could use mattes to, remove different areas of…the shot that we're not interested in, like the sky.…
