Join Chris Orwig for an in-depth discussion in this video Retouching away shadows under the eyes, part of Adobe Camera Raw: Making Selective Adjustments.
- In this movie, I want to highlight another retouching…technique when it comes to cleaning up portraits…using the spot healing tool.…And in this movie I want to focus in on how we can minimize…or diminish the shadows which show up underneath eyes.…Here I'll go ahead and zoom in on this picture…by clicking on it a few times.…Once we've zoomed in really close, what we…want to do next is tap the B key,…or click on the spot healing brush.…And what you want to do with your brush is…you want to make your brush size just a little bit…bigger than the area that you're working on.…
So something right around here, like this.…We want to work with healing.…We'll start off with a high opacity but we're…actually going to drop that down in just a moment.…So let me show you how this works.…We'll go ahead and click and paint…or click and drag over this area.…We want to be careful not to get any of those eyeslashes…because that will create a little bit of a problem.…So go ahead and click and paint over that or drag over that…then let go, then you want to move this source area…
