Join Chris Orwig for an in-depth discussion in this video Challenge: Crafting better visual appeal, part of Adobe Camera Raw: Making Selective Adjustments.
- Welcome back to another Challenge.…For this chapter, the challenge…which I would like you to try…is to simply apply a few graduated filter adjustments…in order to improve this photograph.…Note, you would apply two adjustments.…One is to the sky.…The sky here is just too dark,…so I actually want you to brighten that up,…so that the overall image is kind of…lifted up a little bit.…I also want you to do the same thing…in this area down here.…This feels too dark, or dense, to me.…The idea with this photograph is…I brought this ladder down to the beach and buried it,…and had this person in the Shakespearean dress…climb up to the top.…
So I want this to be a little bit…more bright and dreamy.…So again, two graduated filter adjustments.…One up top, one down below.…As always, try to use the things…that we learned so far in this chapter,…and try to use your shortcuts as well if you can.…I would give yourself just a few minutes…for this assignment.…Good luck, and I'll see you…in the Solution movie.…
