What is PictureFill?

- Looking into the future of the web, none of us had the answer to how all this HiDPI image stuff will work out. One method that's been proposed is using something called the picture element to swap image sources. Now, there's a JavaScript library out there that utilizes this, what's called PictureFill or Picture Element and in this video, we'll explore PictureFill and just see what it is. If I scroll down here, we'll get to the link up there, but you'll see that I have an example of this PictureFill in action. The thing about working with a responsive site and working with something that is HiDPI iRetina, is we have multiple things to consider. First and foremost, just as a simple, responsive site, if we have a site, let's say, and we view it on a mobile device, such as a phone, we don't wanna take this large picture that we used for the desktop and download it to that small device, usually because of network speeds and things like that.
