Make your mobile web apps act like native iOS, Android, or Windows Phone applications. Make them progressive! Learn techniques to make web apps responsive and secure, work offline, and launch from the home screen.
- [Ray] Hey there, this is Ray Villalobos, Senior Staff Instructor. In this course, I'm going to show you how to build a progressive web application. I'll start by talking about what progressive web applications are, and show you how to build a simple app shell that loads quickly and then depends on data to complete its content. This course also shows you how to use key bootstrap features that you can use with any web application including how to code navigation, carousels that fade, modals and media elements.
Finally I'm going to show you how to work with features that are exclusively to progressive web applications like service workers so that your applications can work offline as well as the manifest file that makes the applications easier to install on mobile devices. As usually there's a lot to learn but that's why you're here so let's get started building a progressive web application.
