Utilizing the background property
Perhaps no other property is of greater importance to designers in building page layouts than the background property. I know that's quite the claim, given how I was talking earlier about how important floats in positioning are. But backgrounds allow us to work with a creative freedom that would be just absolutely impossible without those capabilities. So in this movie, I want to highlight some of the incredible things that we can do with the background property. So I have backgrounds.htm open from the 08_06 folder. A lot of the properties that we're going to be working with here, in terms of dealing with backgrounds, you've been doing already in the other courses that you may have taken, in your own CSS work, or even here. But I want to talk about using these background properties in a really creative way, of combining some of these techniques together.
