- Since we're talking about hiDPI I figured we should also talk about Favicons. And those are typically those little teeny icons that show up in the browser tabs and bookmarks. And it's typically, forever and a day, they were in the ICO format the .ico format. Because there are so many devices, hiDPI and not hiDPI as well as operating systems like Windows 8, IOS etc. we need to take another look at Favicons. In this video we'll explore why we care about 'em, in others words where they're used. And I want you to understand that you can add all the Favicons we discuss or just a few to cover the bases. They're only there for display. So, let's talk a little bit about where these are used. Of course they're used in browser tabs and you know, all kinds of places like that on different operating systems, different devices, different browsers.
