Preparing a framework

- [Narrator] A design system's front-end framework is the toolkit and documentation for building out your project's components with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. If you're creating your own framework, be sure to include a getting started guide. If you're using an OpenSource framework, make sure to follow their getting started guide to make sure you have the proper setup. Getting started guides should include information about installation, file dependencies, the directory structure, and information about any tools or libraries that may be used. If we take a look at the U.S. Web Design System's getting started guide, there's a section for developers and designers. For the developers, here are the installation and usage instructions. There's also details about their CSS architecture, customization, and other topics related to the development setup.
