- [Instructor] Front-end frameworks have become very popular over the years because they provide a collection or prepackaged and tested HTML, CSS, and JavaScript functionality. While you can create your own, there's also quite a few popular open-source options. Let's take a look at the top two. Bootstrap has been leading the charge for quite some time now. The documentation is extensive and there is lots of options for layouts and components to choose from. Foundation is another popular option. They offer a framework for websites and emails. However, when using generic frameworks, or any tool really, there's always some pros and cons to consider. The biggest advantage for using an open-source framework is for speeding up development. The components are already built, they're already tested, and standardized to provide cross-browser and multiscreen support.
