Indicating off-site links: CSS Shorts Weekly

Indicating to a user that a link goes offsite or opens in a new browser window or tab is good practice. With some CSS and a background image, you can make that look a bit more appealing. You can even animate the graphic with a transition property! So if you have less than five minutes to spare, you can enhance your offsite links pretty quickly. Your users will thank you.
