I may or may not have done that when preparing for this course. The sheer volume of available frameworks, articles about frameworks, and opinions about frameworks is overwhelming. The good news is it doesn't have to be. By defining some terms and sharing what to look for in the framework, we'll wade through the noise together. Let's start by talking about what exactly a framework is. You'll hear the word used in multiple contexts, like an HTML framework, a JavaScript framework, or a CSS framework. A broad definition of a framework is that it's a library or collection of files and assets designed to give you a starting point, or base foundation, for creating a project.
