- [Instructor] Here's how Stylelint works and how to work with it. When Stylelint is installed in your project, configured and hooked up VS Code via the Stylelint extension, any time you open a CSS file or a file that contains CSS, Stylelint will scrub through it and match it up to the configurations you've set, and tell you any time your code doesn't match the configuration settings. You immediately know something is off just by looking at the interface. You can see here in the explorer, I have the file that I'm working on highlighted in red, and the entire folder tree associated with it is also red, telling me there's something wrong here. This highlighting actually only happens as long as a file is open. So, if I close style.css, you'll see the highlighting goes away. That's so that you won't just have every single tree and every single file highlighted in red all the time, and this is standard practice for all of these linters.
