Join Christopher Broeska for an in-depth discussion in this video What you should know before watching this course, part of Modeling Characters in Cinema 4D.
The following modeling tutorial does require a little experience with Cinema 4D. If you run into any issues, you can always go through the Cinema 4D essentials on lynda.com. While you follow along with this course, there's a few commands that I'm not going to be calling out, when I use them. Most of these are based in navigation. So, to quickly review those, let's just take a look at this top row of buttons, in the top right corner of our view pane. The first one is for Pan. We click and drag that, it's going to pan around our scene. The second is for Zooming. The third is for Rotate. And the fourth is going to jump us back to a four screen view.
And then in any of the corresponding window panes, if we click that button again, it'll bring that window up to full screen. The keyboard shortcuts for these, are 1 for Pan, 2 for Zoom, 3 for Rotate and if we middle click on our mouse, it'll jump us back to our 4 screen view. And then any window that we're actually hovering over, if we'd middle click again, it'll bring that up full screen. So now that we've reviewed the navigation tools, we're ready to begin our tutorial.
