- Welcome to the chapter on Deformers.…Before we jump into specific deformers,…which we will starting in the next movie,…I thought we would just take a few minutes and discuss…what actually is a deformer…for those of you who are new to the concept of deformers…and what they actually do.…if we click on this little purple icon up here,…alright, we click and kind of hold down…and select this top row of lines,…that's going to tear off this whole menu.…Everything you see here is a deformer in Cinema 4D…and without being too obvious,…they're self explanatory.…
What they allow you to do is Bend, Taper,…Jiggle, Wrap, Bevel, Twist.…They basically allow you to manipulate entire objects…while keeping them intact,…so for example, the Bend deformer.…You can take an object and kind of bend it in half…or bend it around but the object still retains…it's original attributes.…So we're not taking the polygons away from the object,…we're still keeping everything intact…but we're just manipulating it and pushing it around.…
