What's new in CINEMA 4D R18? Review the new Mograph, modeling, animation, and render tools, including Voronoi Fracture, the Thin Film shader, and more.
- [Andy] Hi, my name is Andy Needham and welcome to Cinema 4D R18 New Features. In this course, I'll be taking you through some of the awesome new features in the latest Cinema 4D release from Maxon. In R18, Maxon has improved and enhanced the software in the areas of mograph, muddling, animation, rendering and workflow. We'll discover the additions to the mograph tools, including my favorite, the vornoi fracture object. We'll also look at the new knife tools, which greatly increase your productivity when modeling.
We work with the thin film shader to create iridescent materials, such as soap bubbles. And inverse ambien occlusion to fake sub-surface scattering. Finally, we check out the new viewport improvements, which include realtime reflections, screen space ambien occlusion, and tessellations. The fundamentals of using C4D have not changed. It's still the software you know and love. Maxon have simply added some fantastic new features, so let's take a look.
