Welcome

- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Adam Trachtenberg and I'll be your guide as we dive into Hard Surface Sculpting and Retopologizing in CINEMA 4D. In this course, we'll design and model a fantasy spaceship suitable for games, TV, or even cinematic battles. First, we'll develop a rough sketch of our ship's design. Next, we will transform our sketch into a simple model using CINEMA 4D's polygon modeling tools. We will then use CINEMA 4D's sculpting tools to refine our design and create a fully developed model. With a lighter model in hand, we will sculpt in the final details that add the ultimate sense of realism. Lastly, we will generate normal, displacement, and ambient occlusion maps to allow us to create the illusion of great detail without the burden of immense polygon counts. We'll go over a lot of great tools and techniques that are commonly used in hard surface sculpting and retopo work. With all that said, let's dive into Hard Surface Sculpting and Retopologizing in CINEMA 4D.
