VertexMap Maker

- [Instructor] The VertexMap Maker can be used to generate procedural vertex maps. When using the object, there are many possible sources for generating vertex maps, but in this movie, we're going to focus on just one and hopefully you'll want to discover more for yourself. Currently, in this system, we have some particles that are created by the emitter and they're colliding with the cube and that's pretty much it. We're going to set up our project so that the particles colliding with the cube will then be used by the vertex map maker to drive a Material transition from smooth to rough. Now if that sounds a bit complicated, don't worry. It's actually quite simple, and once you are familiar with this technique, I think you'll be using it regularly in your own projects. So let's get started, then. The VertexMap Maker is in the Other Objects list, so we'll just add that. I'm going to bring that into our Other Objects folder.
