- Now that we've covered a few of the deformers,…let's talk about a way that we can restrict…the strength and restrict the effect of the deformers.…And we're going to do that with falloff.…So, let's grab, this time we'll grab a capsule.…The shape's unimportant,…but I thought we'd just kind of mix it up.…Now, we'll grab a taper deformer.…And if you've been watching some of the previous movies,…you know that you need to make the deformer a child…of the parent object that we want to deform.…We can hit Fit to Parent,…and then we can start adjusting to get our effect.…
So, with the taper deformer,…what we're going to do is we're going to…click on the Falloff tab.…Now what Falloff does is it essentially restricts…or defines where the effect,…in this case, the taper object,…where it will take place, and where it will work.…When it's set to infinite,…it's going to work everywhere the taper object exists.…So you can see everywhere inside of the purple bounding box…the geometry is being deformed.…Well, what if we selected something like a sphere,…
