…Motion tracking is the process of analyzing 2D footage.…For the purposes of figuring out what kind of camera shot that footage,…where they were standing, what type of lens they were using, you get the idea.…You're basically looking at 2D footage to try and recreate a virtual 3D scene.…Now that's something we can do in CINEMA 4D now with the motion tracker.…Once you have all that data, CINEMA 4D can recreate the camera, and…then from that data, you can create new 3D elements to place in the scene,…as though they were there all along.…
Now, whether they match stylistically into the scene or…not is up to your personal taste.…Just understand, when it comes time to actually match those elements back into…the scene, that's a whole different process in and…of itself called compositing.…But you can't really get to compositing without some really…strong foundational motion tracking, and that's what we're going to be doing today.…
