- Let's take a look at the tools available in cinema 4D for working with type. The first one up here is the older spline based text tool. And you can find it by coming over to here. What you need to do with this is combine it with an extrude object to give it some volume. Then you can render it as very similar controls to the MoText object. If we look in the object tab, the MoText has essentially the extrude object built in as well, because you can select your depth and do all the caps and things like that. And it has the added benefit of being able to animate it because it is all part of the MoGraph system. So we're going to work with this in our example. To begin, we'll come up to the MoGraph menu and create a couple of MoText objects. I'm going to select them both because they share similar properties. We can just change them both at the same time, the font we're going to use is phosphate, and we'll change the weight…
