- [Instructor] A common problem with importing models is that the materials aren't quite right and don't look as expected when you render them. So in this movie, we're going to modify materials, and we'll also learn a method for quickly adding materials to our scenes from a resource that is available to every C4D user. So we have this model of a car engine with loads of materials, and it can be quite confusing to see the Material Manager full of materials like this. All look very similar, especially if they've not been named in a logical manner. So, one of the first things I do is to remove duplicate materials, and there's a function to do this. So we can come over to here, and choose Function, Remove Duplicate Materials. Now that looks a lot cleaner. Another function would be to Remove any Unused Materials. Now our Material Manager looks a lot cleaner and we can focus on what materials we want to modify. So we can do this in a number of ways. We can, firstly, if we press Command or…
