- Now that we know how 3D applications…perceive 3D materials and why they are necessary,…let's take a look at how Cinema 4D…specifically thinks about materials.…I have three cubes in my scene right now,…and they live up in the Object Manager,…here in the upper right.…In the bottom left, where it says…Create, Edit, Function, Texture, right?…This is where all the materials are going to live.…Now, we can create them a couple different ways.…We can go to Create, New Material,…we can also hit Cmd+N,…or we can just double-click down in this area.…
So here we go, I just double-click.…Now, this is where all your materials…for the project are going to live,…and we can add the materials a couple different ways.…We can just click and drag right onto material,…and undo that, or we can drag up to the Object Manager…and drag it and drop it onto the material.…Once it's up there, we can actually…just drag it around to different objects.…We can hold Ctrl and copy.…Now, even though that appears that there…are three different materials on there,…
