Creating a simple photographic studio
- [Instructor] At the beginning of this chapter, we saw some typical photographic studio setups. Now, we're going to model a simple studio that can be used to light all manner of objects. There are a number of ways of approaching this, but I'm going to show you my preferred method. It involves some simple polygonal modeling, and it all starts with a single polygon. Let's dive in. We're going to create a polygon by coming up to this primitives menu here, and we'll just choose the polygon, and there it is. If I press s to frame up, and I'm just going to orbit around here, and just see what we've got. It's important to get a sense of scale. This is something that you may want to tweak on a per-project basis. I have, in this scene, an object, and I'm going to unhide it. I'm going to press Alt and click on the traffic lights there. You can see we've got this hairdryer in our scene. Looking at the polygon, it's probably a bit too small. We want it to kind of be probably twice as big as what…
