- [Instructor] In this movie we are going to look at how we create a refracted material using transparency channel in conjunction with reflectance, so we already have a material applied to this cube so we don't need to worry about that we just double click to open the material in the material editor and with the default specular I'm just going to remove that. I'm going to turn off the color channel and then turn on the transparency channel and with no secularity no color information you can see that object just disappears, it's completely transparent. That's because our index of refraction is set to just one if we increase this we will start to see the object being revealed and light refracted.
