- Okay, let's take a look at the Bend Deformer.…And we're going to walk through a couple steps…necessary to get it working properly.…Now this will be the case for all Deformers.…So let's make sure we cover this first.…First thing we'll do is, let's add a Cylinder.…This is going to be the Object that we deform.…Next, I'll grab a Bend Deformer here.…Now, you can see right away the Deformer defaults…to 250 centimeters in all dimensions.…So it's much bigger than the actual Cylinder.…Let's take a minute and get this set up properly.…
Deformers work as children of the Parent Object…that you wish to deform.…If the Cylinder is the object that we want to deform,…what we need to do is take the Bend…and click and drag on top of the Cylinder…so the arrow faces down.…And let go.…Now that has just become a Child of the Cylinder.…So if we go down to the Bend Deformer attributes…and start adjusting the Strength,…you can see it does have an effect.…Not the right effect, but it has an effect.…So let's hit that back to zero.…
