- [Instructor] So, the first thing I need to do is bring in my styling data. Styling data's often created in a different CAD system, so it's going to be a translation. Probably an IGES or a STEP. You may be working off of something that you've scanned in, so you may have an STL as well. But first step, I need to bring in that data. So here, I'm just going to go into File, Open, locate my STEP file, and bring it in. This is just a little report letting you know that it's done the translation. As you can see, I have my surface, some critical mounting points. There may be some additional hard points that somebody wants you to touch or avoid, whatever that may be. So, you're going to have all of that data brought in. Now the next thing I like to do is I like to give the geometrical set names. Something that I know is very useful for future use, maybe someone else is going to get the file and use the file, so we need to let them know what the data is.
