- [Instructor] Here I'm going to talk about split and trim. Similar operators, slightly different functionality. For the split definition, we're going to click on the icon and hit the F1 key, to either pull up the help documentation, pull down that file, or in the reference documents that you pulled down, at the beginning of this video tutorial, you can use that file there. Now, we have split one open. I'm going to select my element to cut. What am I going to cut with? These curves. I can pick as many elements as I need to, to define my split. You don't have to split, and then pick another split, and then pick another split. You can pick them all at once. I'm going to cancel. The split function is also very pick sensitive. If I select this surface and pick this curve, for example, the side of the surface I picked on is the side that's kept. If I need the other side, I can select the other side. Or, I can come out into the area that is being trimmed away and select to specify that's…
