Measure distance
- [Instructor] Here I want to discuss how to perform some basic measurements, analysis of the part. We have a toolbar, let me bring this up, called measure. And on that toolbar we have measure between, measure item, and measure inertia. Now I'm going to select the measure between icon. And as you can see I have several options here. I have simply measure between, measure between in chain mode, and measure between in fan mode. Now with the standard measure between, you want to come in and be very specific about the type of element you want to measure. Now what I want you to notice is the cursor changes as you hover across different element types. So if I come in and pick this face, you'll notice the cursor changes and it shows a plane next to the cursor. If I come up to an edge, you'll notice that it's showing a line indicating that this is a linear edge. If I select this edge off of that foot, you'll see that it is circular, shows a circle. And up here, same thing, that's circular…
