Creating sweep surfaces

- [Instructor] I'm going to talk about sweeps now. I'm going to use the sheet metal bracket reference file that you downloaded at the beginning of this tutorial. I'm go ahead and hide the green sketch. Select on my sweep function. What I want you to notice within sweep, is you have several profile types. The sweep operator is genuinely massive as far as its capabilities. This is just a basic introduction into the surfacing. The two types of sweeps I do want to talk about are two of the most commonly used. The first one is a line type sweep with draft direction. The second is a circle type sweep with center and radius. We'll go in with line sweep. The way this works is you specify a guide curve. Then, you specify a draft direction. In this case, I'm just simply going to use my xy plane. We'll specify xy plane out of the tree. What this does is it sets up a vector direction that an angle is going to be measured from and also the direction that the sweep is going to travel as far as the…
