The benefit of groups
- [Instructor] I want to explain concept of a group. Where you have forms that you want to repeat, you can collect them under one unique name, and then reproduce those groups elsewhere in the project. Also, if you edit one group, you will be passing the changes along to other groups. You can make groups unique and you can un-group, if you want to do that, as well, but just to show the concept here is I've got all of these walls. I'm double clicking and I'm holding the control key and double clicking on this, so I've got these selected. I can either right click to use the context menu and then use the create group command, or with them selected, I can just type in the fast key, which is g. So I'm going to just select them, type in g, and you'll see the blue box up here that tells me I've got a group. If, 'cause it runs around the extents of the objects, if I look in my browser, it created a group and it assigned a…
