From the course: Construction Math Foundations
What you should know
- In this course on construction math, I'm going to teach you how to apply basic math principles to solve construction problems. You'll need to have an understanding of using fractions, working with decimals, converting between fractions and decimals, and basic algebra operations. We'll cover a little geometry here, which is working with shapes, and a little trigonometry, which is really just working with triangles. We'll do that here in this course, and I'll explain what you need to know there, but if you feel like you would benefit from brushing up on those basic algebra skills first, I encourage you to watch our LinkedIn Learning course called Learning Everyday Math. If you're comfortable with those general math skills, then I'm ready to teach you how to apply them to solving the problems and answering the questions that get asked every day in the construction industry.
