What is FormIt Pro?
- [Instructor] What is Formit. Formit can either be used as a more intuitive way of creating masking for energy analysis. So for example, creating building forms with shading materials. Or it can be used as a way of creating more complex surface models for presentation purposes or to document early conceptual design. It has in it tools that will let you present the model to others and collaborate with others in the creation of those models. But the main takeaway from here should be that it's more compatible with Revit. It doesn't have limitations on the number of faces that you can bring in. The faces tend to be flatter. Its continuation of the process as conceptual model into design development when you bring that model inside of Revit. So you could use any of the tools in here. We'll be going through, you know, how these work. But the idea should be that you can see that it's either for masking and energy studies, or it's for conceptual modeling at some level of detail.
