- When a resin print comes out of the printer, it's typically just part way through the creation process. Resin 3D printers lay out material by illuminating a photo sensitive resin. The light illuminates a thin layer of uncured resin. This hardens or cures the liquid into plastic. However, this hardening may not be complete and since resins are viscous a lot of uncured resin may adhere to the print when it's finished. More curing, typically with UV light, might be needed after the print completes too. In this movie we focus on post processing prints from an SLA printer with proprietary resin, printer, and curing device. Which may be more expensive, but require less staff time than using open systems. - Resin 3D prints are typically solid and so resin inside a part will be cured as you go along.
